"I remember watching the Frugal Gourmet years ago and enjoying his show. Little did I know that he had a dark side that he kept well-hidden from his audience. I think this docuseries was excellent, covering his growing up years through the decline of his career. I still can't believe all that happened and I feel for those young men that endured the abuse. The film was well researched and well told. Bravo. However, I want to make one thing clear that may have muddied the waters during the film. While Mr. Smith was a closeted homosexual, it wasn't his homosexuality that caused the abuse. He was a pedophile who happened to be homosexual. I think that is important to note."

"I was a fan of Jeff Smith, so I had a keen interest in career and subsequent fall from grace. All five episodes held my interest and we watched them within 2 evenings. The people interviewed were close associates and their take on events was insightful and interesting. I would definitely recommend this documentary if you had an interest in Jeff Smith."

"**May contain spoilers** Very well made and high-quality documentary. It was a fair presentation of Jeff Smith's early career and successes to his final downfall. I used to watch the Frugal Gourmet on Saturday evenings in the 90s. I had gotten an ick feeling about the show when they brought on Craig, the sidekick. I'm glad to hear Craig was a good person and well-respected by the production staff. I am disgusted to think that Jeff's wife, Patty, knew what was going on. I hope his adult children are living a peaceful life and nothing sinister happened to them as children I found it well-worth the $20.00 and am happy to support an independent filmmaker. I'm really surprised Netflix or Hulu didn't pick this up."

"Well researched and presented with a wide array of interview subjects; I especially appreciated the interviews with relevant experts about some of the dynamics of power and social contract that we see emerge throughout the story told. I agree with many reviewers that the pacing was exceptionally slow, there were a few moments that felt like they were drug out needlessly, but in spite of that I found this a strong documentary and was glad to have watched it."
